We are <\/span>delighted <\/span>to announce the promotion of <\/span>two of our <\/span>talented team members, <\/span><\/span>Alan Raoof<\/span><\/span><\/a> and <\/span><\/span>Elen Roberts<\/span><\/span><\/a>,<\/span><\/span> to <\/span>the position of <\/span>S<\/span>enior <\/span>S<\/span>cientist<\/span>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Individually, they have brought the <\/span>right <\/span>scientific thinking to support a wide and diverse range of projects. They have generated high quality data to support project delivery, coupled with articulate communication of results and their interpretation, both internally and during external client interactions. They have each demonstrated g<\/span>reat<\/span> examples of working collaboratively and have driven improvements across different areas of the business.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

Since joining <\/span>Seda in December 2020,<\/span> Alan has been highly influential in the growth of our <\/span>analytical<\/span> capabilities<\/span>. H<\/span>is strong academic background (<\/span>a <\/span>pharmacist<\/span> with <\/span>two <\/span>MSc<\/span>s<\/span> i<\/span>n Drug Design <\/span>and Pharmaceutical<\/span> Analysis<\/span>) plus several years\u2019<\/span> experience working as a QC analyst<\/span>, <\/span>has given Alan a great foundation <\/span>for the provision of high quality, robust data to our clients. <\/span>W<\/span>ith his<\/span> special interest in <\/span>characterisation<\/span> of pharmaceutical materials<\/span> and<\/span> nanomedicines,<\/span> he <\/span>wi<\/span>ll<\/span> play an instrumental part in Seda\u2019s growth journey.<\/span> <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\"Elen<\/a>\n

Elen <\/span>joined<\/span> Seda <\/span>in<\/span> June 2019<\/span> as a<\/span> Medical Science<\/span> gradu<\/span>a<\/span>te from the University of <\/span>Leeds<\/span>. <\/span>Her<\/span> formulation and analytical skills have developed exponentially during this time, <\/span>exemplified by her <\/span>pivotal role in the development of Seda\u2019s <\/span>model informed <\/span>amorphous s<\/span>o<\/span>lid dispersion <\/span>offering for <\/span>enhancing the performance of poorly soluble compounds.<\/span> \u00a0<\/span>She is currently studying <\/span>towards <\/span>her<\/span> Pharmaceutical Industry Advanced Training<\/span><\/a> (<\/span>PIA<\/span>T<\/span><\/span>)<\/span><\/span><\/span> Master’s<\/span><\/span><\/span> Degree from the University of Manchester<\/span> which will further <\/span>supplement her on-the job learning<\/span>.<\/span> <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
