{"id":1196,"date":"2022-02-09T08:33:39","date_gmt":"2022-02-09T08:33:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.sedapds.com\/?p=1196"},"modified":"2022-09-06T17:27:49","modified_gmt":"2022-09-06T16:27:49","slug":"seda-scientists-author-new-biopharmaceutics-textbook","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sedapds.com\/news\/seda-scientists-author-new-biopharmaceutics-textbook\/","title":{"rendered":"Seda Scientists Author New Biopharmaceutics Textbook"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><strong>Seda Scientists are contributing authors in a new biopharmaceutics textbook<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>No less than five members of the Seda team are proud contributors to the latest biopharmaceutics textbook published by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wiley.com\/en-gb\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wiley<\/a>, expertly edited by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/hannah-batchelor-a3054614\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hannah Batchelor,<\/a> Professor of Biopharmaceutics at the University of Strathclyde.<\/p>\n<p>In\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/onlinelibrary.wiley.com\/doi\/book\/10.1002\/9781119678366\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><i>Biopharmaceutics &#8211; From Fundamentals to Industrial Practice<\/i><\/a>, Scientists from the UK&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.apsgb.co.uk\/focus-groups\/biopharmaceutics\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences (APS) Biopharmaceutics Focus Group<\/a> discuss the tools and techniques used within the field of biopharmaceutics and their applications to drug development.<\/p>\n<p>Seda authors applied their expert knowledge of biopharmaceutics and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sedapds.com\/services\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">drug product design &amp; performance<\/a> to contribute to the following chapters:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/paul-dickinson-7bb10719\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Linette Ruston<\/a> on Biopharmaceutics to Inform Candidate Drug Selection and Optimisation<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/search\/results\/all\/?keywords=shanoo%20budhdeo&amp;origin=RICH_QUERY_SUGGESTION&amp;position=0&amp;searchId=9dbeb1fb-f675-4e98-8c85-ddddd2e31c17&amp;sid=5r!\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Shanoo Budhdeo<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/paul-dickinson-7bb10719\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Paul Dickinson<\/a> on Regulatory Biopharmaceutics<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/wang-wang-lee-098340\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wang Wang Lee<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/claire-patterson-933027a1\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Claire Patterson<\/a> on the Biopharmaceutics of Injectable Formulations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As defined in the introductory chapter, biopharmaceutics is the science associated with the physical\/chemical properties of the drug product and the interactions of this product with parameters linked to the route of administration that affect the rate and extent of drug uptake or presence at the site for local action.
